Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: October 18, 2026. This policy describes what is not allowed on sites we host or maintain. It protects you, other clients and the internet at large. It is part of our Terms of Service.
1. Who this applies to
This policy applies to every client of Safe Hands WP, to anyone who uses a site we host or maintain, and to agencies and their clients. You are responsible for the use of your Site by your team, your contractors and your users.
2. Prohibited content
You may not host, store, link to or distribute content that:
- Is illegal under US law or the law where you operate.
- Sexually exploits or endangers minors in any way.
- Infringes copyrights, trademarks or other intellectual property rights.
- Promotes violence, terrorism or hate against people based on protected characteristics.
- Is pornographic or sexually explicit, or offers sexual services.
- Sells illegal goods or services, including illegal drugs, weapons or counterfeit products.
- Involves gambling, unless you are licensed and it is legal where you operate and you tell us before you launch it.
- Is defamatory, harasses others, or publishes someone's private information without their consent.
- Is deceptive, such as fake reviews, pyramid schemes or get-rich-quick schemes.
3. Malware, spam and phishing
- No malware, viruses, ransomware, cryptominers or any malicious code.
- No phishing pages or sites that impersonate another person, brand or organization.
- No unsolicited bulk email or messages. Email sent from or about your Site must follow anti-spam laws such as CAN-SPAM, including a working unsubscribe link and a real postal address.
- No purchased, rented or scraped email lists.
- No sending email from our servers in a way that damages our IP or domain reputation.
4. Resource abuse
Our plans are for normal business websites. You may not:
- Run open proxies, VPNs, file-sharing services, game servers or cryptocurrency mining.
- Use the Site as general file storage or backup for files unrelated to the Site.
- Run processes that use excessive CPU, memory, storage or bandwidth and affect other clients.
- Launch denial-of-service attacks, port scans or brute-force attacks against any system.
If your Site needs more resources than your plan allows, we will contact you to discuss an upgrade before taking action, unless the impact on others requires us to act immediately.
5. Security testing
Do not test the security of our systems (penetration tests, vulnerability scans, load tests) without our written permission. If you find a vulnerability in our services, please report it to [email protected] and give us reasonable time to fix it before disclosing it. We will not take legal action against good-faith research that follows this process.
6. Copyright and DMCA notices
We respect intellectual property rights and respond to valid notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe content on a site we host infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent that includes:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed.
- The exact URL or location of the material.
- Your name, address, phone number and email.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
Designated DMCA agent: [Name, address and email, as registered with the US Copyright Office].
If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake, you may send a counter-notice with the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(g). We will end the service of clients who are repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
7. Enforcement
If we believe a Site violates this policy, we may, depending on how serious the issue is:
- Contact you and ask you to fix it within a reasonable time.
- Remove or disable the specific content.
- Suspend the Site, immediately when there is an active risk to people, other sites or our infrastructure.
- End the service under our Terms of Service.
- Report illegal activity to the authorities.
We are not required to monitor your Site, and we do not review all content. We act on what we find or what is reported to us. We may update this policy; the current version is always on this page.
8. Reporting abuse
To report spam, phishing, malware, illegal content or other abuse on a site we host, email [email protected] with the URL, a description and any evidence (for example, email headers). We review every report.
